DIY Challenge 3: Moving the blocked square
Place the blocking square in different positions in the 5×5 square. Then, try to cover the remaining grid with trominos.
Which of these are possible….which of them are not?

In the previous challenge, you would have found that C3 was possible and E5 was not possible.

CORNERS==N.P
CENTRE===P
IN THEORY, IF WE DO PATTERN IT IS POSSIBLE AS WE WILL GET ALL 3 COLOURS EVERY TIME BUT, IN THIS IN THE CORNER IT FORMS A PERPENDICULAR LINE SO THEREFORE, CORNER ARE NOT POSSIBLE
A1/2/3/4/5
B1/2/3/4/5
C1/2/4/5
D1/2/3/4/5
E1/2/3/4/5
ALL THESE ARE NOT POSSIBLE IF THESE BLOCKS ARE BLOCKED IN A 5×5 ONLY
THE CENTER IS POSSIBLE 🙂Student 1
I think only middle is possible because we can see a pattern in the center also at the corners it’s not possible because once we fit a tromino the we have to fit in the next one and so and at one point you can’t do it anymore in the picture that i’ve attached it shows the pattern
