DIY Challenge 2: Turning maps into graphs

We saw that it is was possible to convert any city map into a connected graph. Below are some examples we saw in the session. You can try them for yourself once again as well.

Can you convert the following the map (from the previous challenge) into a connected graph?

Important: The graph should not have any extra vertices.

What students worked out10

  • Student 2

    !*0*1*3*6*3*9=0

    • Karanteacher

This has a lot of additional vertices (intersecting points).

  • Student 3

    This is my finding.

  • Student 11

    This is what I found

  • Student 14

    what are the ‘vertices’?

  • Student 14

    this is my way:

  • Student 1

    My graph

  • Student 9

    My connected graph.
